Golden Palace Restaurant-Traditional Chinese food

By: Jarrett

Today for lunch I felt like having Chinese food, so I thought it would be a perfect time to try Golden Palace Restaurant in Brampton. I’ve been hearing mixed reviews about this restaurant for a little while now and since I’m writing this blog I figure this would be a perfect time to see for myself, what this restaurant is really like.
I decided to have the sweet and sour chicken balls and the sautĂ© mixed Chinese vegetables and the Teriyaki Beef. I would have to say that I’ve had better. The chicken balls were all batter with a tiny piece of chicken; the Chinese vegetables seemed to have been cooked too long (maybe it was in the buffet for too long). The Teriyaki Beef wasn’t half bad but I don’t know if that was enough for me to go back there anytime soon. If anyone wants to they can leave a recommendation in the comments if there are any dishes that are good and maybe I might go back.
All of their prices seemed to be inexpensive, but you do get what you pay for and I certainly did.
The service was fine, their employees were friendly and the food was quick because it was a buffet.
If you’re looking for inexpensive Chinese food, feel free to go to the Golden Palace. The one I went to was located on 9886 Torbram Road, Brampton, Ontario. Click here for their menu.
Their hours are:
Monday-Thursday: 11am -10pm
Friday: 11am- Midnight
Saturday: 4pm - Midnight
Sunday: 4pm- 10pm

Don’t forget to leave a recommendation in the comments of anywhere in Brampton you would like me to try. Feel free to leave your thoughts about the Golden Palace in the comment section.

Symposion- Following Greek Traditions Since 1984

By: Jarrett

I decided last night to go out to my favorite Greek restaurant in Brampton called Symposion and they make their dishes by following Greek traditions. It’s located right in downtown Brampton on Queen Street East.

Their service is great, all of their servers are friendly and inside there is a very family friendly atmosphere, which is one of the reasons I keep going back again and again. Besides the great food, I would also like to point out that their prices are very reasonable for the excellent quality of food.

I decided to have a dish I haven’t had in a while. I had the Mousaka, which is a spiced ground beef topped with a bĂ©chamel sauce and is served with rice and roasted potatoes. Again, I was very pleased with my meal.

Their full address is 148 Queen Street East, Brampton, Ontario and if you would like to call them their number is 905-454-3984. If you would like to take a quick look at Symposion dinner menu, click here and for their lunch menu, click here

Their hours are:
Monday - Thursday: 11:00am - 10:00pm
Friday: 11:00am - 11:00pm
Saturday: 12:00pm - 11:00pm
Sunday: 4:00pm - 10:00pm

I have been going there for the last couple of years and I will certainly be eating there again and I would definitely recommend everyone to try Symposion the next time you’re in the area and looking for a restaurant that follows Greek traditions

Canelli's Italian Eatery

By: Jarrett

I was recently told by a friend about a family owned Italian eatery that makes all of their food by hand called Canelli's Italian Eatery located on Queen Street East.  So last night, I decided to see what all the fuss was about.

I walked in and was greeted by a friendly member of their staff. I started off with their Classic Caesar with Chicken and their homemade dressing, which was delicious. For my main dish I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken and was rather impressed. The Alfredo sauce was rich and the chicken was cooked perfectly. It was well worth the $24 for the dinner.

As for the service, I was very pleased. The waitress was very friendly and I didn’t have to wait too long for my Fettuccine Alfredo.

The atmosphere was also very pleasant, it was very family friendly. All of their staff I talked to were all very friendly and were happy to help me out.

Their full address is 252 Queen Street East, Brampton, Ontario, and if you would like to call them their number is 905- 457- 0099. If you would like to take a quick look at Canelli's Italian Eatery dinner menu click here and for their lunch menu click here

Their hours are:

Monday - Thursday 11am - 10pm
Friday 11am - 11pm
Saturday 12pm - 11pm
Sunday 4pm - 10pm

I will certainly be eating there again and I would definitely recommend everyone to try Canelli’s Italian Eatery the next time you’re in the area and looking for a great place to eat.
